All of my maternal family history that was on the above web site has now been included on here.

This is the history of my family tree beginning with myself, John Rainer, and going back as far as I can trace. I have included all the facts I have found so far, together with certificates and photographs of my ancestors. Please enjoy the web site and let me know if you find any errors or can add new information.

Myself -
John Rainer

I always like to hear from relatives -
Due to the excessive amount of spam I have been receiving recently I am forced to
change my email address. If you used to contact me through my original address -

I was born in Abingdon on Thames, now in South Oxfordshire, the town was originally in Berkshire before local government reorganization back in 1974. My father, Leslie Rainer, came from Milford Haven in South Wales. His Parents, John Joseph Rainer & Elizabeth Louise Fuller, moved there from Great Yarmouth. Also included are many distant ancestors with the name Trorey, emanating from the small market town of Stalham in Norfolk. My mother, Doris Winifred McIntyre was born and lived in Abingdon. Her mother, Norah Smith comes from the village of Sutton Courtenay, just south of Abingdon. Other names on my mothers side that are prominent in my Tree are Whitehead, these also originate from Sutton Courtenay, and also Beckingham who come from the village of Blewbury, near Didcot.

Rainer -
I have transcribed the Birth Marriage and Death index for the name Rainer.
Births and marriages cover the years from 1837 to 1937.
Deaths cover the years from 1837 to 2005.
These can be viewed by clicking here or on BMD in the menu.
